Located in Henderson County, NC, very close to Transylvania County, the property has frontage along Crab Creek Road, Shoal Falls Road, DuPont Road, and Sky Valley Road. The property is situated about halfway between Brevard and Hendersonville, about a 15 minute drive from each and in very close proximity to DuPont State Forest. DuPont State Forest, which contains 10,268 acres in both Henderson and Transylvania Counties, is managed for public recreation, and offers many miles of walking, biking, and horseback riding trails. Of the property’s 200± acres, approximately 80± acres are in pasture and 120± acres are in forest. Two creeks flow through the property: Crab Creek and Shoal Creek. Shoal Creek flows from the upper forested reaches of the property over Shoal Creek Falls, a dramatic free-falling waterfall which is visible from below, before flowing through the farm fields to join Crab Creek, which flows the length of the valley. The forest contains a healthy mix of mature hardwoods, some interesting rock formations, and from the ridges, excellent long-range views. Because of its pastoral setting and traditional agricultural buildings, the farm is widely known as among the most scenic properties in the area. |
